What is OPTIMUM?
OPTIMUM is a network of international dance competitions. Each year, each of these competitions offers winners the opportunity to participate in OPTIMUM, an exclusive event by invitation only. The concept behind OPTIMUM is an experiment that challenges the rules of traditional competitions, and we're thrilled to share it with you.
On the exclusive OPTIMUM stage, the best of dance will perform—those who have already won an international competition and, therefore, received the award in recognition of their excellent technique. OPTIMUM aims to break with convention and broadly reward art, understood as the ability to communicate emotions and transport audiences into our world.
OPTIMUM was created to reward the ability to express art, engage audiences, and convey emotions through your creations and your language, regardless of the style being performed. OPTIMUM is, in fact, a sort of "GOT TALENT." The jury, composed of highly experienced directors and choreographers, will be able to evaluate your performances exclusively as a wonderful art form, unique in its complexity and fullness.

Livorno (Italy)
The 3rd edition of OPTIMUM will be held on Saturday, July 4, 2026, in Livorno. During the gala evening, the winners of the international competitions participating in the network will perform and be evaluated by a jury composed of various international dance authorities. They will award invitations to professional courses, training with dance companies, and other opportunities to the most talented dancers and choreographers, who will thus have the opportunity to grow and transform their passion into a career.
This is the goal of OPTIMUM: to offer opportunities to young dancers and choreographers.

Why OPTIMUM was born?
After many years of collaboration between various events held in Italy, Spain, and Greece, the idea was born to create an exclusive event, a sort of "super finale," to offer new opportunities to the competition winners. The OPTIMUM stage is accessible by invitation only, reserved for those who have already demonstrated their strong technique by winning at least one of the network's competitions. OPTIMUM is a showcase of talent, where you will be judged on your ability to put on a show, to convey your performances, and to amaze with your art. The OPTIMUM jury, in addition to awarding scholarships, invitations, and opportunities to dancers and choreographers, will reward the overall winners with cash prizes.
Who is part of OPTIMUM?
OPTIMUM is constantly expanding, because networking, sharing experiences, and engaging with others is essential to growth in this world.
Currently, the events included in the network are the following:
Livorno in Danza
The true flagship of all our events is a competition that every year attracts several hundred dancers from around the world and also includes masterclasses and auditions. The eligible styles are Classical Ballet, Contemporary, and Choreographic Composition, a showcase for choreographers. Held annually in the magnificent Teatro Goldoni in Livorno (Italy).
Valencia Danza
The competition is held annually in Chiva (Valencia, Spain). The accepted styles are Classical Dance, Contemporary Dance, Fusion (Hip-Hop, Jazz, Funk), and Flamenco.

Danzando

Piccoli Talenti
The competition is dedicated to children up to 14 years of age, in the Classical Dance and Contemporary Dance styles. It is held annually in the beautiful medieval city of Volterra (Pisa, Italy).

Areadanza
Areadanza is the hub of everything. A dance school in Livorno (Italy), it offers advanced training courses, internships, workshops, and intensive programs, which attract dancers from all over the world.

Summer Intensive
The Areadanza Summer Intensive is a week of study with international teachers, attended by dancers from around the world. During this week, choreographies are created that, out of competition, will accompany the OPTIMUM gala evenig.

The dance school in Nàquera (Valencia - Spain) is our base of operations for events in Spain, as well as the official headquarters of OPTIMUM. It offers courses in ballet, contemporary, hip-hop, and flamenco.
